can't 'like' or comment

everytime I try to like or comment a status on my feed a message shows up that says "likes are not available at this time"
Or something to that effect...
I updated the Android app yesterday in an attempt to fix the problem so now I'm at a loss?

    Same thing is happening on mine. If I click on the persons file then write a comment or like it works. Hope that helps.

    Wait a day or two: It happened to me, too, but resolved itself after 24 hours.
