Hello everyone! I need your guidance.
I've never had an activity tracker before and i know that i am being picky right now so please bear with me.
Below is the priority list that i made.
1. Accurate calorie counting
2. Steady exercise accurancy, including strength training
3. Battery life(the more the better)
4. Sleep(deeper and not) tracking
5. Steps ofc
6. Water proof
7.To be able to sync with android/MFP
8. Some sort of friend function for challenges (Competition keeps me motivated)
9. HRM which is not mandatory atm so maybe garmin to get the strap later.
10.Gps in case i want to start cycling :D

As always i am asking for too much aren't i??
Any suggestions or a link to some site with filters would be great!

accurate calorie counting is on you...not an activity tracker.
steady exercise accuracy, they are all estimates...and none will work for weight lifting
Battery life...can't say for sure...I think my jawbone lasts 7 days
    Sleep Jawbone does that
steps, any and all do that
    waterproof...good luck
    syncs most do that
    most have team lists
HRM more coming out with those
    GPS...eh..mapmyfitness.

    1. Each and every tracker has it's strengths and weaknesses. How accurate each will be depends on those and what your activities are. And remember, they are all just estimates, best guesses, a place to start.
    2. There are none that I am aware of that include strength training. Most are pedometers which do better with walking and such. Again, it depends on what you are doing. Read the reviews to see which ones are better for what you plan to do.

None meet criteria one or two. Most except Apple Watch meet #7. Sleep tracking for most devices it nothing more than motion tracking .... not a true assessment of deep sleep or not.

I am not talking about my intake but for calories burnt. From what i've read most are from 10 to 40% inaccurate.
For lifting i think i saw Atlas advertising that it could do that but i didn't check on it much.
Steps yes all of them can but some are more accurate than others. The not accurate part happens due to arm movement. With fitbit zip being the most accurate if i remember right.
Waterproof. If i am not wrong both Atlas and Garmin are water proof while fitbit only water resistant.
While i appreciate that you bothered answering sadly i need some more detailed info. Thanks tho!

Thanks for the reply. I am aware that they are each to its own activity. That's why i opened the thread (thete were too many already but thought to give it a go).

Polar M400 gps and water proof, but no heart rate during swimming.

    http://www.polarm400.com/us-en/

#1 probably not (but that's one of those things that it's up to you to believe how accurate it is) I trust mine about as much as I trust the nutrition labels.

#2, what do you need? heart rate during training, time spent training? you can get that. Calories during cardio, yes, during strength training, well that's up to you as to how you take it.

Thanks a lot! I actually haven't read that before. Going to read it now. I came across one site a week ago that had filters with all the tech features of like 30 or more activity trackers but i forgot to bookmark it -_- so here i am still looking for one..

I did a Google glance and Fitbit Surge seems to fit.

I am going to take a look at M400 and report back.
I think it would be too much anyway to ask for hrm during swimming.

From what i've read on different reviews the device falls short on most of its claims.

But you didn't give a clear idea of what type of exercise you do except for maybe weight training - which none do.

Most of all will do what your asking, but it's up to taste and exactly what your looking for and why. Polar M400, Garmin Vivosmart, Garmin Fenix3 are swimable and even the FITBIT Surge/Charge is if you see DCRainmakers review although FITBIT took that claim off the website. Also to remember or note that some link to indoor equipment (lifecycle/etc) of which Polar is one, but some do not. Some are optical HR which is good but not as accurate as a chest strap due to the constant contact w/your body (watches are a bit looser). I'd research each, check out the reviews (DCrainmaker is probably tops) and as always you'll have to give up a little in each one to get what your top priorities are. Hope this helps and is clear as mud! ;-) Michael
