Before I started my Low Carb weight loss journey, I regularly drank Dunkin Donuts caramel iced coffee wirh cream & sugar. I recently tried it with cream & Splenda and it was way too bitter for me! Maybe I need to add more Splenda???
How do you like your iced coffee ?

Adding more splenda may make it more bitter. I drink mine black if I'm out. At home I make it with coconut oil butter and protein powder all blended smooth. There are sugar free syrups you can buy that are very popular most coffee houses have then as well.0

I haven't tried the iced coffee at Dunkin Donuts. I've gotten the sugar free iced coffee at mcdonalds before, it's not bad.
I've also made iced coffee at home, but what type of coffee you brew makes a HUGE difference. It seems like some coffees aren't meant to be iced. When I make it at home I add half and half with stevia. The best coffee to make iced is life plus style gourmet coffee (I find it at TJ Maxx) my favorite is the Mocha ground coffee.
Stevia is my go to sweetener, but I'll use splenda if it's the only available sweetener. Stevia is also available in liquid form.
It might just take time to adjust to the new taste if you're used to the high-sugar iced coffees.0 -
I don't like splenda much. I love truvia/stevia. It has a wonderful taste. I recommend trying truvia or sugar free coffee syrups (they have flavors like hazlenut, white chocolate, salted caramel, vanilla, irish cream, etc) which make it taste INCREDIBLE. Torani and davinci are the best. I also add a bit of unsweetened almond or cashew milk (just a few tbsps of milk is ~10 calories, which isn't bad).
Dunkin donuts also has almond milk now.0 -

I like the Splenda in my sugar free iced coffee. I feel like I'm splurging to just have some almond milk or 2% milk in it. I LOVE iced coffee!0

I drink so much Dunks, it should be a crime.
My go-to is usually a caramel iced coffee with skim and 2-3 Splendas.
Now that ice cream flavors are in season, I drink a butter pecan iced coffee with skim and 2-3 Splendas.
If you get their flavor shots without sweeteners in it, they're pretty bad to choke down. I plan for the calories and opt for their flavor swirls, which are sweetened.0 -
Honestly, Iced coffee is not the best for you. But balance is key! I say if you're going to
drink it, drink it the way YOU like it! Then take the calories into account when planning your whole daily intake. Like if it's a morning or afternoon snack, have a smaller or less calories dense breakfast or lunch before hand.0 -

It is the best for you, though. I'm the best me when I have my iced coffee every morning!
You don't want to see me when I don't have time to get it.0 -

I have never had truvia or stevia! I'll have to try it! Maybe the coffee wouldn't taste so bitter! Thank you!

Thank you all for the suggestions! I think I'll stop by Dunkin Donuts in the morning and get an iced sugar-free caramel coffee with extra cream and hopefully they have truvia or stevia to sweeten it!1
