Grave's disease treatment resulted in 20lb gain

Options
I am grateful to be healthier now, but as a former figure competitor and now....former thin girl, the 20lb gain has really hurt my self esteem. I must prove to myself and the world that you CAN lose weight while treating your thyroid issues. If not, I'm getting a new Dr! ;)

    Way to go, girl!!
Except for being a man, I've been fighting the same enemy.
Damn, it's a hard thing to bear.

A few days a go, relapse has been diagnosed and back on Strumazol (and no energy to do any sports at all). But i WILL NOT let weight gain take over again and will check and double check every gram of food that will enter my mouth!!

I lost so much weight with grave's disease and ended up gaining all I lost plus some! It was hard because I could eat whatever I wanted and still lose weight when my thyroid was all funky. Good luck!

I have polymyosotis with extensive lung involvement. Steroids increased with flareups and along with all this I have gained 150 pounds

:) I understand!! I have multiple sclerosis, been on steroids since 2009 and boat loads of muscle relaxers... Among other things.
Two yrs ago I dropped 20lbs. I was committed and toned. I was a size 2!
Now, I'm back at it after a 29lb weight gain and hiatus from fitness.
New determination and maintenance goals to get this weight back off.
