I am losing gradually. But with graduation parties and little slips here and there, I went up a few pounds. My goal was to be 125 by the 25th of July. Is this even possible now? I currently weigh 148.

3-4 pounds per week is not healthy.. 1.5-2 is healthy.

And honestly, at 148, you're probably more likely to see .5-1.0 lbs per week, as you don't have that much to lose. Anything more is likely going to be water weight.

This isn't meant to be demotivational though! Just keep swimming and see how far you get! You might have one of those "woosh" moments between now and then where the scale suddenly drops because your liquid retention balances out with your fat loss.

Thanks! I know I'm wanting to do it healthy and long term. I'm just not very patient lol.

It's so hard to be patient, but 3 or more is unhealthy (you can do it, but you're going to really kill your metabolism if you do!)

And this is exactly why I do not support time based weight loss goals.

Eat at a moderate deficit and stick to it. Don't try to crash diet. @maniacallaugh hit it on the nose when she said .5-1 pound a week.

Take away your deadline and just try your best. Nothing drastic. There's no point in reaching that goal in that time frame if you just put it all back on (plus some!) if you don't learn healthy habits.

As others have posted around here, you didn't put on the weight in a month and a half, so don't expect to lose it (healthily) in a month and a half. Take your time, keep logging, and you'll get there!!

This is the problem with setting a deadline for weight loss.

If you had to drive 150 miles an hour to get to your destination by your desired arrival time, what would you do?

Which is why I don't set goals about how many pounds I will lose by a certain date. I'd rather set a goal of how many minutes I will go on my treadmill, how many steps I can put on my fitbit, how many veggies I will eat in a day, and other goals that are in my control.
