I don't know what to do about my weight. I try all the diets that i can do and go to support groups. I think that bariatric surgery is my only hope at this time.

The problem is that you're trying "diets". have you tried eating things you like and just eating less by using MFP?

That seems unlikely. Is that what your doctor told you?

Stop dieting and try a lifestyle change.

have you tried just using MFP, logging your food, and using a food scale to weight all solids?

Stop dieting. Stop doings fads that are unsustainable.

Why not use MFP and give it a good 4-6 weeks before determining you can't do it?

All you really need to do is eat less and you'll lose weight.

You should try to change your lifestyle - even if you decide to go with Bariatric Surgery. I've known people who didn't change their lifestyle and blew out their surgery and gained it all back. Bariatric surgery requires committment too. Your city may have a support group for bariatric surgery clients. Might be a good starting point - talk to people who have done it.? Just a thought.

That sort of step would have to be the final and only option for me, its dangerous, and unless you adhere to a strict lifestyle afterwards its also prone to failure. Are you prepared for that?

And if so, the question becomes, why not adhere to a lifestyle change NOW that will get you slimmer and healthier in a natural and sustainable way?
