When Do You Start The Next Day

Do you start the ext day at midnight when the counter re-starts, or do you wait until you had some sleep?
I am often up late at night (I mean sometimes I can't fall asleep until 3:00 a.m. or 5:00 a.m.), and inevitably snack a little. I usually count it as "yesterday" (before midnight hit) and count "Today" as after I have had sleep.
Any thoughts? Which do you go by?

I typically go midnight to midnight - but as long as you are consistent, it should not be a problem to count from wake up til bedtime as one 'day'.0

Personally, I count the end of the day at the time I go to bed, whether that's at 10pm or 2am. And then my next day begins when I wake up. Honestly, it's not super important to track on which "day" your snack should count. Do whichever works best for you. You aren't going to see huge changes from day to day. Ultimately, look to make sure you're hitting your goals over the course of the week. So if you're trying to lose weight, be sure you're at a deficit more often than not throughout the week. Your body may have a circadian rhythm, but does something with every calorie you eat regardless of the time.0

Midnight to midnight for me. If i end up eating after 12pm, which is an extreme rarity, then it gets logged onto the following day.0

I count wake to sleep as a day - even if I go to sleep after midnight0

Midnight. It all gets logged anyway, so as long as it doesn't put me over, it doesn't really matter.0

Technically midnight is the next day so it would be logged into the next day. I would just do midnight to midnight.0

i actually forget to close it so I close it when I wake up in the morning0

It's all the same, it's just whatever is easiest for you. I have my diary set up in hour blocks with the last being "After 8pm". The rare occasions that I'm awake and eating or drinking after midnight I would count as the previous day.0
