My name is Sara! I am a mother of two and am currently on the path to a healthier lifestyle. As much as I battle with my weight I also battle with food. Currently I am classified as obese. And have recently incorporated going to the gym and I feel as if that's good and all but I need to start eating healthier. I am a stress eater. I eat when I'm upset, eat when I'm bored, and sometimes I eat just because its there. I need all the support I can get. I see all these miraculous I lost 150lbs just by doing insert diet here.

But I don't want to use weight loss drugs, miracle wraps, or anything silly. I want to be able to eat normal non jenny craig food or specific diet plans. Just normal recipes maybe with a healthy twist or any suggestions on snacks. Perhaps even suppression of my never ending appetite. Real help & support.

Well your are on the right track, exercising and joining MFP. First I'll say losing weight takes time, sometimes months, sometimes years depending on how much you need to lose. So get yourself in the right mindset that you are in it for the long haul.
MFP is a great way to track your daily calories, just try to be as accurate as possible. You can read on this forum, ways to help you with your journey. Main thing is don't give up, if you have a bad day and go over your calorie budget, don't beat yourself up, just get back on track tomorrow. Weight loss goes up and down some weeks you lose weight and some weeks you don't. Don't get discouraged, read the forums here and see what other people do. Good luck, and hope you achieve all your goals.

The Mustang man is right. :p You have to take things one day at a time. Just because you went overboard one day doesn't mean the whole week is ruined (this is something I also struggle with). I will submit, however, that exercising doesn't really matter. I read this book called The 100, and it talks about how as long as you burn more calories than you eat you will lose weight. Exercising only helps you MAINTAIN your weight, and while exercising and eating right go hand in hand it's important to remember that diet is 80% and exercising is 20% of it.
