I lived in Spain for two years but I was in Cadiz in the southwest. I suggest you hit up the markets rather than going to the restaurants if you want to eat clean.
Typical Spanish cuisine is delicious but they hide olive oil in everything, slather mayonnaise thick on sandwiches, serve bread with everything, and drink quite a lot.
Seriously though Spanish food is amazing!!! I hope you don't eat clean every meal there!0 -
You have to try the yogurts there! There is something different about how they make them. Danone coco was my favorite.
Try the citrus fruits. Best oranges I have ever had in my life.
I'm getting jealous that you are going now.0 -
Thanks alot for the response. Will take everything you said into consideration. And don't be jealous just plan a trip lol0

I may not have been to Burgos, but have been to Barcelona and Mallorca on holidays and found it fairly easy to eat well (not necessarily clean all the time, but pretty close) and found I still lost weight while travelling. I often just had tapas and didn't drink alcohol everyday.0
