What are foods to stay away from to loose stomach fat

    all you need is to be in deficit and eventually the fat from there will go, just like it will go from all over - unfortunately we can't spot reduce.

    If you are in a deficit, then your body will lose weight in whatever order it pleases - usually in the opposite order that you gained it.

    This is true - but adding lean muscle mass and "recomping" your body also helps. Sadly, the belly area appears to be the last place to lose fat on our bodies. :(

    try to fill up on lots of nutrient dense foods- lean proteins, dairy, whole grains, lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. if you are in a deficit you will lose weight- but you won't necessarily lose fat. for a couple of months i ate lots of carbs and fatty foods at a deficit and lost weight but looked exactly the same. once i switched to more clean eating and upped my water intake, i was never bloated and had tons more energy. find what works for you and your body and you will see great results.
