How to find a personal trainer

So I've been a member at planet fitness for about a year. I was kind of sporadic in the beginning but got serious in November and have lost 25lbs and went from a 16 pant and xl top to a 10-12 pant and m-l top. I've made progress, but feel like I'm at a point where a personal trainer would help me learn new moves and critique my form. However, planet fitness is not where I want to get a trainer from. I don't want to join a different gym, my club is brand new, lots of equipment, meets my needs. How do you find a personal trainer that you can trust if you aren't finding them at the gym you go to? Any advice appreciated.
And no rude comments about planet fitness. I get why a lot of people hate it (like lack of personal trainers) but it works for me, fits my budget, and I was a member of a "real gym" for 3 years and hated it. I enjoy my gym. Just need some help.

Does PF allow outside trainers in? Most chain gyms don't. So you may need to train at another gym on a pay-per-day basis.
Another option.. if you're a do-it-yourself kind of person.. is to read the study manuals of a good personal trainer certification. But that takes a lot of commitment & time.0 -
You'd then have to find a trainer that does in home or has their own "portable" training system. Thing is that some of those types of trainers don't have legit credentials that are accepted by mainstream facilities.
But one thing you should get.......................a complementary session to find out if the trainer is someone you could work with.

You may not have to leave PF to join a real another gym. There are personal trainers that work a personal training studios where your can receive training without joining a new gym. Look for independent personal trainers via ads or google search in your local area. You can work with them at their facility and still use PF on the other days.0

Maybe try a smaller gym in your area? I have been going to the same trainer for about 6 years now. He works at a small gym. I actually left the gym but kept the trainer and we workout away from the gym. Having a trainer is what works for me. It might not be for everyone but it keeps me accountable and fit. Find someone that makes you comfortable and that challenges you. I will be with my trainer until he retires! Then I will find a new one to keep my old butt in shape!0
