I a a grandma and mother of a 5 year old and I want to get healthy not only for them but for e as well. My husband was just diagnosed as a diabetic and that was a real eye opener for us that we need to change. we need all the support we need. also some suggestions for low impact exercises to do because we both have bad knees

    Welcome.

    Walking is an excellent exercise because it is low impact, requires no special equipment and can be done almost anywhere.

    My first thought is walking as well. Also, swimming.

    If you can do arm exercises that also helps with muscle maintenance and building your core.

    It really is all about moving more and eating less. No crazy, strict diet is needed. Slowly substitute more vegetables into your meals and just eat less of what you are currently eating.

    I agree with the above suggestion about walking or swimming. Both are great low impact exercises. Also, riding a bike is another exercise that is not hard on the knees.
