I do low carb high fat moderate protein. Did your Dr give you any recommendations for foods. I can think of lean meats, eggs, low fat dairy. Did they say how high in protein?0

You might look at the Ideal Protein diet. It is not high protein, but moderate protein. My cardiologist recommends this diet.0

Pork chops, low fat cuts of beef, cold water fish, shrimp.
Broccoli, yellow squash, asparagus, mushrooms, cucumbers, and dark leafy greens0 -
You could probably use broths and herbs for flavour. How low fat do you need to go?0

Do you have a legitimate reason to go low fat such as gallbladder problems, intestinal problems, etc? If not, please do not go low fat. Dietary fat is good for you, it is healthy for you, and in fact it is unhealthy to eat low fat to the point that if you eat too low fat it can be legitimately dangerous.0

I took that as certain as it was both a Doctor and nutritionist that have put the OP on the diet.0 -

I would think that eggs, chicken, turkey, prawn/shrimp could be staple proteins for you. Lettuce, cucumber, kale, spinach, onions, mushrooms.
Are they going to monitor you as you do this diet?
My concerns would be being able to go to the toilet and that you may be so low in fat that your fat soluble vitamins may not be transported around your body properly as well as a whole host of other problems that that can cause.0 -

"Nutritionist" and Registered Dietitian are two very different things. I can basically tell anybody I want that I'm a nutritionist, without any education or certification in the field. If you are a Registered Dietitian however you must be credentialed and certified, so I take someone saying their "nutritionist" built them a diet plan with a grain of salt. In addition, your everyday doctor is notoriously and surprisingly bad at understanding proper nutrition and and how nutrition affects the body.0
