For the last one in both senses, after 11 years of running it helps to remind myself that when I first started a mile was challenging and my goal was to lose weight. All the consistency and hard work I put in over the years goes into those long runs. Now I can start in the heart of Chicago run to Northwestern University in Evanston and look at the skyline of where I started. It's a cool moment that always feels a little shocking, and makes me feel a little dangerous and bad *kitten*. But it all started with one night I decided to start and not give up.0 -
