Going camping with a bunch of friends this Memorial Day weekend. Just wondering if anybody has any tips on what to bring so I can at least try and eat somewhat responsible instead of just eating the normal bbq, ie/ dogs, burgers, chips for 3 days straight. I know I'm gonna waste alot of calories on beer :drinker: , sorry but that's I do when sitting around the campfire and I plan on enjoying myself, but.....
Any ideas?
Thanks

Really just have fun, you will probably be much more active than normal so hopefully it will even out. Try to get an extra hike in or some other exercise, get up before everyone else and go for a long walk. Other than that, just try to limit your serving sizes, have a burger or dog, with only half a bun, or no bun, don’t sit down with a bag of chips in your hand, leave them on the picnic table so you have to get up and go get some, just a hand full at a time, don’t fill a plate to go. Drink water instead of pop during the day, save the calories for your beer.0

Are you all bringing your own supplies? You could pack some turkey brats and lite hot dogs, or turkey burgers. Maybe even sneak them in with the others, people will eat healthier and not even know. Take some cut up fruit to munch on also, maybe some 100 cal packs of snack crackers to replace chips a night or two?0

Great Idea AuntSusie5, apples instead of chips go along way. Who knows, maybe you will inspire someone!0

Also, the Kellogs cracker chips are great! You can have 30 chips for 110 calories. There are 2 or 3 different kinds. Sea salt and sour cream and onion.0

Thanks for the tips. Going to go shopping later tonight and fresh fruit and some baked chips are now on my list. Thanks0
