A friend of mine made this and shared her recipe. My kids loved this healthy version!
Healthier Snickers Pie
1/2 gallon fat free Vanilla frozen yogurt
8 oz container of Cool Whip
1/2 cup (or more) of Grapenuts cereal
2/3 cup (or less) natural peanut butter
1 small box sugar free instant chocolate pudding
2 graham cracker crusts (reduced fat)
Soften yogurt. Blend in peanut butter & dry pudding mix. Stir in cool whip and Grapenuts.
Pour into 2 crusts. Freeze until firm and then top with additional cool whip. Freeze another
3-4 hours.
Makes 2 pies: Using fat free vanilla yogurt, sugar free cool whip, sugar free pudding, and reduced fat graham cracker crusts... here is what I figured out for calories for 20 servings (10 servings per pie).
212 calories/ 35g carb/ 2g fiber/ 7g fat/ 6g protein
I think you could even make it without the crusts (or use a different type of crust) and cut back on the carbs/ calories even more.
I added it to the database under Healthier Snickers Pie and submitted the recipe.

I think you could also add in some regular or chocolate PB2 to cut back on calories as well. I just shared the original recipe that my friend gave me. Lots of possibilities!0

That would work great too! Also I had thought about using ground up almonds for a crust instead of graham crackers.0 -
Thanks Jess - sounds great!0

Sounds great....will definitely have to try it.0

No doubt this would taste great...I could even eat the entire pie
But it's not necessarily low calorie. 1/10th of a pie is not much for 212 calories.
I think I'd rather eat an entire box of Jello Pudding (big box) made with almond milk and either a crushed graham cracker / reduced fat oreo on top.0 -
Bumping this up w/ a little lower cal version! I made this for a family get together tomorrow.
Healthier Snickers Pie
1/2 gallon fat free Vanilla frozen yogurt
8 oz container of Cool Whip
1/2 cup (or more) of Grapenuts cereal
2/3 cup (or less) natural peanut butter (I used crunchy!)
1 small box sugar free instant chocolate pudding
4 servings of Keebler mini vanilla wafers (crushed) <this saves a TON of calories rather than using a graham cracker crust!>
Soften yogurt. Blend in peanut butter & dry pudding mix. Stir in cool whip and Grapenuts.
Pour into crushed vanilla wafers in a 9 x 13" pan. Freeze until firm and then top with additional cool whip. Freeze another
3-4 hours.
I figured it for 24 servings from the 9 x 13" pan.

We have this same recipe. It's really quite good. Doesn't really taste like snickers... but it's still delicious.0

I have made this before but used crunchy peanut butter not grape nuts....sounds good0

I like this idea! I'm not a huge Grapenuts fan plus that would cut out 200 more caloriesThe recipe sounds great though. Maybe I'll take it to my next work potluck.

And fat free Cool Whip would cut some cals as well, if you are okay with artifical sweetners. Thanks for a good summer dessert!
