My scale stays the same but last month I lost 7inches. What should I be doing to make the scale move?

Nothing, just keep measuring. Are you measuring more than just your waist? I'd measure legs, arms and neck as well.

Several things can make you maintain weight: muscle gain, water retention... even irregularity, if your diet is causing you trouble there (I know). If you are losing inches, then you are gaining lean muscle mass, which means your goal is getting closer to being met, even if the scale doesn't show it. If you still aren't losing weight, and stop losing inches, then maybe lower your calorie goal a little bit.

Losing inches is far better than losing pounds. And I agree with measuring multiple areas (legs, arms, neck, waist). And remember, muscle weighs more than fat, so you could be replacing fat with muscle and that's why the scale isn't changing.

If you're losing inches...be happy lol. The scale will come around I promise. Your body is probably retaining water to help you repair newly worked muscles.

Also, weigh yourself the same time every morning, after you've used the restroom. This is sometimes called 'dry weight' as there's no extra food, liquid, or waste in your body to fool the scale. My weight gain is about 5lbs from morning to evening. This isn't even taking into account scale repeatibility.

Anyway, like I said...be happy! Many of us, including me...wish we had that problem!

Personally, I'd rather lose inches than lbs . . .but since we all love that positive feedback for the little square on the floor in our bathroom . . .drink lots of water (helps if your scale isn't moving because you are retaining fluid), eat lots of fiber (helps if you aren't regular, poop weighs a lot!) and keep up whatever it is that you are doing exercise wise. Usually it mean you are gaining a little bit of muscle, which will boost your metabolism, and that scale WILL go down eventually.
