My name is Lara and I am 36 years old.
I just started "MyFitnessPal" a couple days ago but have been a member of a Rec Center off and on a few years.
I am currently taking a "Fit for Life" Class and have set up sessions with a personal trainer for the summer.
Would like some encouragement, tips, criticism. etc and would encourage you back.

Hi! I'm new as well...day three actually. I am 31 and have struggled with my weight almost all my life. The times that I was successful in losing weight, at least 15 lbs, I had always decreased my sugar and carb intake. After reducing this I didn't feel as hungry throughout the day which allowed me to eat less. For the past three weeks I've been focusing on reducing the amount that I eat. Now that I'm on MyFitnessPal I am forcing myself to be more conscioutous of how many calories I consume. Its going to be very hard work but at this point I feel like failure is not an option. One other thing I like to do is if I feel like snacking is I make some tea. I've bought myself a few different fun flavors so at least I'm tasting something good. It helps a little but nothing is as satisfying to me as pizza! I am a lover of food. Good luck with your weight loss journey!0
