Jogging in place is so boring. Go outside and enjoy the scenery.

But anyway, just get a pedometer and an HRM.

There is an estimate of calories burned in the exercise database. I also read on Livestrong that a person about 140 lbs burns approximately 500 calories an hour jogging in place. Otherwise you'd have to have one of those heart rate monitors to get a more accurate estimate of calories burned.

No way to know unless you get a HRM. A HRM will keep track of your pace so if youare pushing it and your HR goes up then you are burning more calories. If you are just doing it leisurely then you won't burn as many in the same amount of time.
