It still all comes down to CICO.0

I'm 23 and it's hard to lose weight... I've been struggling since I was a little girl. Mind over matter0

If you find it hard; it's probably because you're not accurate with your calorie counting?0

As we age, metabolism slows down (all other things being equal). So you have to eat less to maintain the same weight.0

Also, choosing too many of the wrong foods will make losing weight very difficult as you will either be hungry, or going over your calories.
Make smart food choices, use a food scale, and eat in a deficit, and you will lose the weight. I'm 44, and weigh less than when I was in my early 20's.0 -
I'm 33 and I honestly haven't had many problems. I'm losing slower than I should, but I'm still losing.0

I'm 42 and I've lost 43 pounds. And I'm a short woman! CICO hasn't failed me and I haven't found it difficult, other than around TOM when I am the hangriest B you'll ever see.0

It's because you don't know CICO. You see, knowing is half the battle, GI JOEEEEEEEE.0

I'm 48, right in the middle of perimenopause ... and I just lost 15 kg in 16 weeks. I just simply ate fewer calories than I burned for 16 weeks.
In addition to that, I was about the thinnest and in best shape of my life from about my late 20s to my late 30s. But for that decade (late 20s to late 30s), I cycled a lot, and walked, and participated in winter sports, and lifted weights and took yoga and spinning classes. I was ACTIVE! It has only been the last 6 or 8 years that my fitness level has dropped a bit, and because of that, I've ended up here. Fortunately my fitness level is increasing again.
There is no reason why it should be more difficult to lose weight after 30 ... trust CICO!0 -
I'm 41 and I have no problems losing weight. Hey, as I'm trying to maintain I'm still losing weight slightly. Get a good set of muscles as they burn more energy and eat at a deficite.0

Almost 50 and lost 94 pounds, and not finding it hard at all.0

I'm going to take a different route here and say it's because the bad habits have been ingrained for so long that it seems even harder to break them the older you are. For me I'm fine as long as I keep to relatively healthy eating habits, but once I break it for a whole day it takes me several days to behave myself again. CICO does work, but actually doing it is a habit that you have to form and stick to.0

I really don't think losing 100 calories every decade, all things being equal, is that big a deal if I'm honest.
Particularly when that loss is mainly based on being less active / having less muscle .. the solution is pretty clear to me .. lift heavy stuff and put it down again0
