It's possible... depending on your starting weight. Even then, you're going to have to eat extremely "smart" to make sure you're meeting your nutritional needs.

I started at 125 and lost 25 in less than 3 months BUT, my starting weight is probably a lot more than yours! I'm hoping to drop another 15 in 3 addition months (=40 in 6 months).

It hasn't been easy for me to do this though: NO cheese, bread, pasta, crackers, white rice, cookies, cakes, pastries, any junk food, restaurants, etc. Exercise with average daily burns of 300-400 has also become routine.

Best wishes... don't believe anyone that says it's not possible. It is!

Your ticker says 27 kg (59 pounds), which would be hard in 8 months.
    But 30 - 40 kg is 66 - 88 lb.

Unless you're starting out grossly obese, say more than 100 lb overweight (and from your picture, I doubt you
are), that's not going to happen, even in unhealthy ways.
I started 110 lb over the top end of a healthy BMI range, and it took me more than a year to lose 80 lb... healthfully.

    Set a more realistic goal.
Is that 60 lb loss even healthy? Does it put you near the middle of a healthy BMI range?
Is that a weight you've ever been, since you've been an adult?

    Read this. Several times.

Then this, about setting realistic goals.

You don't need to give up any food, and definitely don't give up any food group (for example, DogRiver seems
to think that carbs are evil). Eat the foods you like, in reasonable portions, and make it fit the calorie goal which
will lead to you losing about 0.5 - 1 lb per week. (apx. 0.25 - 0.5 kg).
If you want to slim down, lose inches to look wow, be stronger, work on weightlifting.
But definitely do cardio, even if it's only a 30 min walk every day.

FYI: I'm meeting my Macros (carbs) from fruits, wild rice, healthy cereals, etc. I have nothing against carbs. It's just that I choose to eat healthy carbs instead of crappy ones.
