Virtually Zero Fat Cheese - would you try it?

I use Musclefood a lot now for their meat and powders, and they've just launched a virtually zero fat cheddar and mozzarella. The cheddar has 168 calories, 29g protein and just 2.5g fat per 100g. To me it sounds too good to be true - has anyone tried it? And if not, would you?

I'd rather eat real cheese and use protein powder.

Nope. I need the fat in cheese. I was eating 2% milk string cheese, and just recently switched to whole milk ones because it tasted better.

I'd rather eat the fat full cheese. Not worth saving a few calories for a rubbery food-like (barely) substance.
But then, I eat a lot of fat.

I eat cheese because it adds tasty fat to my diary. If I'm low on fat I eat cheese. Fats are good.

Considering cheese IS fat, then no. You're not eating cheese.

I like Laughing Cow cheese it tastes good. If it tastes good, I would try it. But it probably won't.

no fat cheese is kinda gross. It doesn't melt right.

Sure, I'd try it. But, having had fat free cheese before, I doubt I'd like it. I usually can't tell much difference between reduced fat and full fat cheese, but the fat free stuff I've had was not good. But, I will usually try any food before dismissing it.

I don't know if you can get it anywhere in a store near you, but there is a German cheese which tastes good and has below 1% fat! It is called a "Harzer" or "Harzer Roller".
Maybe by asking for it you'll get the store to add it to their sortiment...

I know nothing of the cheese you've mentioned but folks - just because a cheese is low-fat, it doesn't mean it's a fake or not a real cheese. I'm very partial to a very traditional German cheese called "Harzer Roller". It's a sour milk cheese with a very strong smell. It has between 1 and 3%fat and up to 30% protein. YOu can buy it plain or with caraway. I eat it in salads or I use it to top oven-baked veg. It melts beautifully!

I usually prefer full-fat cheeses, but this one is REALLY amazing!

Exactly this. It looks like melted plastic, but not gooey like regular cheese gets. It's pretty gross.

The only reduced fat cheese I like is Neufchatel (cream cheese made with 33% less fat). It is the same as cream cheese to me, except when making cheesecake, so why not? Any other cheese is full fat. I will save my extra calories to eat elsewhere.
