I took it for awhile for those very reasons. I didn't have much of an appetite at all, and often would get nauseated a few hours after eating. My GI specialist thought it might have been because I was digesting super slow and the food was starting to spoil before I finished digesting it.

We give omeprazole to horses as well, and it improves their appetites! Does that count?

I've been on it for a long time. No side effects, thankfully!

I've been it for years and haven't noticed any side effects. Hopefully with losing weight I can stop taking it soon!

I have taken this for months on end, it did absolutely nothing bad for me. All it did was calm the constant heartburn (like it should!)

I am happy to say that 20 lbs lighter, I haven't taken a pill in months. It might be a slight change in diet, it might be less fat surrounding the problem area, whatever the reason, my reflux has next to stopped and I am happy about that for sure!

I've taken it for years. Only thing I've noticed is that if I miss it for a day or two, it feels like someone's punched me in the stomach.

I was taking it about a year and a half ago for a while and it was making me have bad stomach pains, which were comparable to my stomach ulcer pain. My GI doctor ended up doing another endoscopy to see if I was bleeding anymore.. he found nothing but he said it was due to the medicine. So now I am taking dexilant and it works wounderful!! I feel perfectly fine on it! If I forget to take it for a day or two I notice it right away, I get stomach pain back really bad. I would definalty suggest it to anyone! Hope this helps you!!
