Hi people! Would love to build some wait loss community in here. I'm 46 and I have a good 60 to 70 lbs to lose. I always do well in summer but I'm a teacher and when September hits, somehow I think that's an excuse to let everything go south! Anyhow, my name is Samantha and I have two kids and a hermit husband.

As a teacher, I do much better during the school year. When my routine is scheduled and a bell rings every hour, I can work and eat according to a plan. When I'm at home, I get restless and have trouble. I also don't get as much exercise as I do at school. Fortunately (or not), I go back to school July 14!

Great attitude to start out (thread title I saw posted)!

    Welcome to MFP :)
  • I tend the be the same a Sherry. I'm not a teacher but during my work week I have meetings scheduled and every lunchtime I go for a 45mins walk giving me 15 to shower and heat up lunch which I then finish off at my desk if I haven't finished it in time. I will even ask for meetings to be moved 30 mins if someone schedules something that only gives me a 30min break. My co-workers are now used to it to the point they ask if it's an okay time before sending me a meeting request.

Once the week is over though, my weekends are pretty casual (but not out of control mind). I recently had 1 week off and it completely through me off. For the entire week I didn't walk and missed my calorie goal 3 times.

Try and schedule the eating and exercise like your classes. Planning a prep is the key for me :-)
