Would like to lose at least 20 lbs before my birthday in September!! Please help. I've tried diets in the past, nothing works for me. I am currently on a "smoothie" lower proportion healthy food diet & starting at 30-45 mins a day exercising , working my way up to longer. What else does anyone recommend?

    1. Track calories and stay in a calorie deficit
    2. Repeat step 1
    3. ???
    4. Profit

    eat less

    move more

depending on how overweight you are, losing 20 that soon may or may not be easy.

Stop dieting. Eat a caloric deficit and you'll lose weight. Personally, I don't care to drink my calories, (I like real food). Weigh and measure everything and move more.

Nothing workd for you because you're making up rules, absorbing rules from other people who have made them up to sell you their stuff and you don't commit

Get rid of everything you think you know about dieting ..it's all crap...no bad foods ..no meal timing

Set your MFP settings to lose 1lb a week and your activity level appropriately (excludes purposeful exercise)

Weigh your food on a digital scale and log it accurately

Eat to your calorie defecit on a weekly basis

Move more ...log your exercise and eat back half the calories the MFP database overestimates
