I have an app on my phone that tells me how much water I should be drinking a day and reminds me to drink every hour if I haven't already put inthat I drank a glass. I also hate the taste of water so I use zero calorie flavoring in it.0
-
Do you enjoy herbal teas? They can be prepared either hot or cold.0
-
Oooooo that sounds great do you know what the app is called thank you0
-
I use 0 cal flavorings for it or even fruit. I also know how much water I should be drinking and fill a big water bottle up. I try to drink it all before noon then fill it and try to have it drunk before dinner. I do love my diet mt dew so I have allotted 1 can a day that I drink with my lunch but other than that I drink water.
ETA: I do have a cup (10 oz) coffee in the mornings as well.0 -
No hate herbal tea sadly, i fill a bottle and forget iv done it and forget to drink it0
-
add lemon or lime juice. I drink juice as i cant always just drink plain water, but i love fizzy water and find that much easier to consume0
-
I add one lemon (splitted) and cucumber slices to a gallon pitcher of plain water and keep it in the fridge. It is great in the summer.
I drink herbal teas in the winter, usually green tea without any sweetener.
Cheers0 -
Have you tried coconut water? It hydrates better than water, just be aware that it is 600 mg of potassium per cup.0

Good news! Tea does not dehydrate.

Because my water intake has been watched for two years and I'm always aware of it, I go through phases where I am totally sick of water. I change it up constantly. I am drinking straight water right now. But in the last week I've also had it as:- Herbal tea
- Orange Pekoe tea
- Diet Sprite
- Diet Pepsi
- With biosteel powder
- Spiked with lemons or lime juice, and a slice of lime in the water
- Soda water
- Perrier
- With a spritz of mio
Since the goal is adequate hydration, I'll drink any way that keeps me engaged and interested.0 -

I drink room temp water
you can suck down 20 oz of it in like 10 seconds0 -

I don't go anywhere without my 24oz Tervis. I drink 1first thing in the morning (before my coffee) and before each meal. Yesterday I filled up 6 times. That is over a gal of water for the day. I cut up strawberries, orange wedge, mint leaves, and add to my water. Good luck! You are welcome to add me, on daily!0
-
Each time I have a cup of tea I drink a glass of water before it. I then don't forget. I also drink a glass of water as soon as I get out of bed. I take medication at night so a glass of water before going to bed.0
-
Wow, how can you drink warm water, im having trouble even drinking any water at all.0
-
Is something like sparkling water ok?

Why do you have to drink water? Drink other stuff to rehydrate you. I never understand people who drink/eat things they hate because "it's good for you". I promise, there are other liquids and solids you can consume that will help hydrate you and you'll probably like some of them.0
-
Do have suggestions?0

I usually add some kind of flavoring to water, weather it's the mio type stuff you squirt into a glass, or sugar free lemonade mix (sugar free 'cause I'm diabetic, plus lower calories) It's not easy to make these positive changes we all need to make. Just start small and build on the victories. Start with a glass of water before meals, and add from there...0

Sparkling water is fine, but it will make you gassy if you try to chug that!

yeah I like to have sparking water with dinner since it's like calorie-free "soda"
and I've got one of those in-line water filters so I can fill up a 20oz bottle insanely fast
I understand when people might say they hate the taste of it, because let's be honest, it does get kinda *kitten* boring when you drink like a gallon a day lol0 -
I used to literally never drink water. I would drink juice and milk non-stop, but refused to take a sip of water. I started having a lot of issues, including kidney problems, and I knew I needed to whip myself into shape. I started taking a gallon container to work with me and would make graduation marks with times as to when I should have drank that amount. By the end of the day, I would have the gallon completed. If I finished, I rewarded myself with a cup of coffee or tea. If I didn't, I had to continue drinking water and nothing else. Now, I ONLY drink water (with the exception of coffee in the morning). I crave water. I typically drink a gallon plus per day. Eventually you will start to feel better and see the positive affects of drinking water and that will be further motivation.0

you need to drink fluids more than anything else. caffeine can be dehydrating but otherwise you are good to go
also fruits can have lots of water in them as well, think watermelon0 -

haha yeah I know the feeling
once I switched to almost exclusively water, I'm just always like...*kitten* I'm thirsty...time for more water already?0 -

At restaurants I ask, 'Water- No ice' because I can down it a lot faster. My buddy used to harass me about it, now he's the first to ask the waitress for 'Water- No ice' for the same reason.
I can mindlessly drink room temp water all day. I have to consciously reach for cold water and usually forget or avoid drinking it.
When biking or running, same deal. Room temp, it gets consumed.
0cal flavor (mio, crystal lite, etc) or lemon juice. I used to ask for a lemon wedge at restaurants but there is a lot of bacteria from sitting there all day and all the hands grabbing for it.

hahah ugh that is a good point on the lemon
forever ruined for me
better just save them for alcoholic drinks then0 -
I just started using Body Armor. It's a new product that competes with the sports drink market. I went to it for its very low sodium and very high potassium content. Flavor is very good without the Super sweet taste. No corn syrup or high fructose either. Side benefit my blood pressure dropped off from pre hypertension to normal due to the extra potassium.0
