Hello all!

I am a 22 year old female in law school trying to lose the weight that I've put on over the years. I am currently around 180 lbs. and want to get down to 140-145. I am eating 1300 calories a day and burning 400 calories four times a week through exercise. Is there anyone out there with similar goals or routines? I'd love to make some active friends to keep me accountable!

Are you eating back your exercise calories?

Yes. I should have been a bit clearer about that.

Just making sure OP, I see quite a few people not eating calories back when they're already eating a relatively low amount.

Sounds good :), good luck OP

I'm 175 and I'm hoping to get to 140-145 as well.

I'm just starting this journey so I have no advice yet but you're definitely not alone.

    Hi,

I started at 181lbs just over two years ago and I'm now sitting at 123lbs..I've another 11lbs to go until I get to my goal. My advice to you would be to make sure you are weighing ALL food and liquid that gets passed your lips with a food scale - NOT cups and spoons..even sauce that you put inside your burger! Don't rely on MFP calories burned - they are known to overestimate...half them! And most importantly - have patience - it will not happen over night!

    Good luck

Hi! Just wanted to encourage you on this journey. I am 46 yo, 5'4", and I currently weigh 181#. My goal is to get back down to 150#. My calorie goal is 1600 Cal and I burn 300-500 Cal 5-7 times a week. It helps that I'm retired, so I can afford to spend 1-2 hrs working out throughout the day. (Yes, I eat back some of those calories!)

My advice to you is to weigh and measure everything, make sure you incorporate healthy fats in your diet, and to love yourself for who you are, not for what you weigh.

Weight-loss is not a straight path. It has dips, hills, and sometimes you find yourself lost in the woods! Like Annavalente said, have patience and if you find yourself off-track, give yourself a hug and start on track again as soon as possible!

5'5" started in 190s, roughly the same goal weight. I work out at least 5 times a week, but try and get some activity in daily. Feel free to add.

Hi - you can add me if you like, I was over 180 lbs when I finished law school and am now close to 150 lbs at 5'8- just a few extra lbs and I am at my goalweight. Know it can be hard to find a right balance!

Hi there! I started right around your weight, am also trying to get down to 140ish, eat around 1350 calories a day and aim to exercise 4-5 times per week. We're practically twins haha! And I'd always love some more supportive friends on here :)
