I used to have a polar F4 and it always said I burnt more calories than what the gym equipment would say and now with the Polar ft7 it's saying I'm burning less than what the elliptical is saying now I'm confused.. Anyone ever run into this?

Yes, I'll double check the monitor to make sure but I believe so yes.

I notice inconsistency between my Jawbone, my Garmin (with the actual heart rate monitor strap), MyFitnessPal, and machines.

For consistency purposes, I've decided to go with the calorie burns from my Garmin, since that strap is right up next to my heart. I figure it is likely the most accurate.

I have a FT7 and it is about 20% off with my lab tests. (VO2 max test)
    Every time.

But in a way it doesn't matter isn't it just stick to the machine or your watch. I even do it differently
I have to burn minimum of 1500 calories a week. So even when it is off it will be always off. But i keep up the min. 1500 calories a week.
simpler for me. And i get fitter and fitter by keeping the 1500 calories up lol
