I new they had a lot of fat in them , but that calorie content is insane....
I need some treat's that fall into a good zone ain't bad and they ain't necessarily contributing to my diet either.
For 33 days i've only had the 1 treat and that was a battered haddock , that had a lot less calories than i thought and if anything the protein of the fish and the omega of the fish had more benefits than negatives.
Anyone got a any good ideas for low calories nibbles they aren't overloaded with sugar or fat?

I nibble on sugar snap peas or bell pepper slices. Or a piece of fruit. Even at only 140 calories per serving of snack cracker mix, the calories just aren't worth it for the portion, the fat, and the chemicals. I would rather eat more filling healthier foods for fewer calories, and save the calories for something I will really enjoy. (A truly savored cookie/pastry/ice cream/chocolate)0

Fat isn't necessarily a bad thing. Just sayin. Lettuce tomato and chicken wraps. Yumm0

Strawberry milkshake made with frozen strawberries blended with low fat milk. If you have the calories available, to make it really decadent, you can add some dark chocolate chips and have a strawberry chocolate chip milkshake. Yummy!

I know fat isn't a bad thing , but its half my RDA , so in this case its a bad thing. Even half a bag is insanely high.

Yup, nuts are a calorie killer! I had Corn Nuts recently, they were a great substitute, crunchy and salty and much lower cals than nuts.0

Wasabi peas.... yum yum!0

I very rarely eat Nuts now (because of their high cals).
A good snack i like is Cheese Spread on Crackers....or even some thinly sliced Cheddar on Crackers.0 -
Oh gosh... Dry roasted peanuts. Drooooooooooooooool.0

After reading this thread it reminded me that I was looking for a quick and easy hit to increase both my calories and my fats each day. Grabbed myself a pot of cashews, 332 calories and a whopping 26 grams of fat. Perfect
Need to get myself a few big bags of nuts to make it a bit more economical than £1 for 60gs0 -
Bananas, apples, string cheese, popcorn, oranges, yogurt.0

I like Walkers Pops, they are often on offer in Tesco, £1 for 6 bags. Nice and crunchy with lots of flavour. Only 84-90 calls depending on flavour and the far isn't high either.0

Fat, not far lol is 3G per bag.0

Dry roasted salted edamame is great, AND it's super high in protein (22g for 195cal serving).0

my snack of choice is greek yogurt or these grissol cracker thingies I found with cheese.
But to be honest I usually have a chocolate bar...as I am not much of a "snacker" between meals...just cause I am not hungry.
Pit with hummus is good, baby carrots, sliced cucumber, celery with peanut butter if you want crunch.
Grapes, berries etc esp since it's summer now.0 -
Air popped popcorn0

As you can see you could have 100g of frozen mint peas for 61 calories.
Just let that sink in for a moment.
Now for 300 calories, the same as that 50g packet of nuts, you could eat 500g of frozen mint peas.
Wrinkles your brain doesn't it? How can something so tasty be so few calories?
You are welcome0 -
Shelled pistachios. Taking them out of their shells burns a lot of calories.0

Cashew nuts are my life.0

doesn't that label say 255 calories per 100g?0 -
I've been putting say, a tablespoon of peanuts in with half a cup of mini pretzels to cut the calories while still enjoying my nuts.
Try roasted chickpeas too. High in fiber, lower in fat.0 -

Nope. See the little kj, that's kilojoules. 1cal=about 4.18 kj.
