I'm trying to stay motivated on my journey, but it's really hard.

It is hard. I've lost almost 30, stayed with it for last 3 months. Have 50 more to go and struggle daily. Wish I had some fabulous advice that would flip a switch, all I have is the "mantra" nothing tastes as good as thin feels. Hang in there, focus on the positive gains.

It IS really hard. I find I go through cycles of love/hate with this journey. Some days are awesome, I feel better I look better...then other days McDonald's wins, I eat like crap, and I'm beating myself up for lacking will power. The important thing to remember is that you are doing this for a reason, whatever it might be. I often ask myself which is more important...feeling good in the short term with a bit of junk food...or feeling good long term. I also try challenging myself with small goals - can I run a whole mile without walking today, can I exceed my step goal, etc. something I know that if I just suck it up and do it is totally achievable, but will give me the immediate gratification I need to give me another push. If you think having a cheerleader would help, feel free to add me. This is WAY easier with a cheerin section

I think it is as hard as you make it to be. Loosing weight is what I want. It's what I am going to do. I want it more than I want any kind of food. I can't say that this attitude has made it perfectly easy but this time is not nearly as difficult as it was the last time I tried.

If is was "easy" everyone would be fit and in shape. However, I agree with @gothicfires. It's up to you. Changing your mindset is the very first step. Make small changes to your food intake. Nothing drastic or you won't stick with it. Move more. Walk whenever you can. Do arm circles while watching TV. No weights or structured program required. Sit on the floor and do leg lifts. One, ten, doesn't matter.

The key is to DECIDE that you are in control of food and it is not in control of you. DECIDE that you control your activity level and your health, to the best of your ability. You can do it!
