What's a good budget friendly alt to a sweet tooth? Unfortunately I have a very tight budget. I have never had good luck getting fresh fruit from Walmart so I won't go there for produce. I do live near a couple of fruit stands and a grocery store that only sells organic products. I also live near a grocery store that only sells brand names.

Sugar free hard candy or gum.

Local grown in season fruit is always the best alternative to sweets but you could also try frozen yogurt or sherberts just depends on how many calories you have left for the day.

Homemade lower-calorie versions of your favorites (I usually cut the sugar, and I recently cut the oil by a third in a recipe with good results)
    Sugar free jello/pudding
    Applesauce/yogurt

Oh, and Walmart and Aldi both sell store brand 40-calorie fudgesicles.

Strawberries taste very sweet to me but are surprisingly low in sugar and are in season right now in New England. Off season, I get frozen strawberries.

I also suck on chocolate chips one at a time until they dissolve in my mouth - I can make 70 calories worth (15 grams; 32 chips) last 45 minutes and my sweet tooth is completely satisfied when I'm done.

i love frozen fruits from Private selection

Sweet, and like little ice creams
The blueberries are only $2.99 for 3 lbs
The strawberries and cherries are excellent too. Well so are the tropical and berry mix lol
