Single Serve Packages of Your Favorite Foods

So I was grocery shopping today and I found this:
You would have thought I won the lottery when I saw it lol. The calories are 270, but it equals The same as 1.5 servings from a jar grams wise. For me this is awesome because when I buy a jar, I can easily eat 8+ servings. With these, I don't do that because if I want more peanut butter, I'd have to open another and that process makes me think twice.
So I was wondering, has anyone else found "single serving" sizes of their favorite foods? If so- what food?

I haven't tried them (and won't), but I saw a similar item in the Wal-Mart checkout line today. It was Jif.0

Wholly guacamole 100 calorie packs! It was hard for me to figure out calorie count/ portion sizes, so this makes it so much easier!0

I actually prefer the chocolate hazelnut butter to nutella, it's a little less sweet and there's deeper chocolate flavor.
I've actually never been a fan of Nutella. It's weird. I love chocolate, love nut butters and love the combo in with certain foods but Nutella tastes strange to me.I haven't tried them (and won't), but I saw a similar item in the Wal-Mart checkout line today. It was Jif.
I am curious- why not?

Multipack crisps (chips) are smaller than those you buy as singles so tend to be under 100 calories0

I buy the little snack tubs of Tzatziki and Hommus, they're great for work because I don't have to guestimate how much I'm having out of a big one (or justify eating the whole tub)0

I love the Justin's packs. Perfect with a banana or a slice of toast. Chips, etc. are no go in single packs as I just eat multiple. lol Also like single packs of nuts.0

Omigosh, I love these things. However, I can eat it off of my fingers in ten seconds flat if given half a chance, so it's usually better that I stay away from them. They are SO good, though.
I would love to find single-serve packets of hummus.

They also make 100 calorie portion bags of almonds, walnuts, etc.

I like making my own single-serve packs (it's a lot cheaper than buying them.) If I buy I big bag of almonds or pistachios I'll weigh out portions and put them in Ziploc snack bags which I can also reuse (so long as I only put dry stuff in them) a few times each. I do the same thing with cooked pasta, chicken, salmon, granola squares (not sure what they're really called, kind of like larabars but cubes and sold in bulk,) smoothies, etc and then I can just grab a baggie or bottle from the fridge/pantry and I'm good to go. I also use those little glass custard dishes (I think mine are Anchor brand) with lids to portion out ice cream/gelato or frozen berries in the freezer. When all the measuring/weighing is done beforehand, it's very easy to get the right portion and log it quickly.0

I know I'm the party pooper, but I have often found single serving packages contain more calories than the serving size indicates because they generally weigh more. That said, I like single serving anything, but I always weight it prior to consumption.0

I've noticed that too! I've divided up an entire bag of potato chips and had maybe half a serving more than I should have, but single serves of the same brand all had significantly more in each bag.
I don't buy single serving packs of anything anymore.0 -

I used to buy 100 calorie packs of various items, but now I, for example, open the jar of peanut butter, weigh out as much as I want (usually one portion), put the jar back in the fridge, and then consume. I would have to go back into the fridge to get more, which achieves the "process that makes me think twice" effect.
So if you can't find 100 calorie packs of the healthy foods you enjoy, try weighing it out!0 -
I make my own single serving sizes with the cute little two-ounce containers sold at a Dollar Tree. A lot cheaper!0

Aldi has little boxes (near the tuna) that has a small single-serve can of hummus and a pack of 5-6 wheat crackers. The box of hummus and crackers is 150 cals. Good flavor and hits the spot if you have a hummus craving.0 -
I just use small storage containers and baggies to portion out my servings of things. The individual packs are super convenient but the price per oz of actual product is much higher. Not worth it to me on my small income. The simple act of weighing out the portion before I eat it is enough to keep me on track. I usually pre-portion an entire bag of chips or some other snack food so I can grab a bag and go but while this does speed up my morning routine of packing my lunch and making breakfast, it is not useful for just snacking. The act of having to stop and weigh and log things out before I eat them, is better for keeping me on track.0
