Plateau time and incredibly annoyed

hi all. I've lost 51lbs to date. I gained around 60-65 during my pregnancy and have just been working and working to get it off. When I got pregnant I was around15-20lbs heavier than I wanted to be. All that said, I have around 30-35lbs left to lose.

About a month ago, I hit 193.7. I was pretty pumped. Then, plateau. I went up to 197 without doing anything except for making my workouts more intense. I've been fluxuating between 195 and 198 for the past few weeks and it is frustrating the hell out of me. I'm not going to give up, and I know it will break at some point, but I'm just not a happy camper right now. I'm due to measure myself in a couple of days, but not sure there will be much changed. I can just feel that my body has stalled out. I'm very proud of the 51lbs that I have lost, but that 30lbs left (and fitting back into my old clothes) is making it hard to be happy.

Just venting because I'm upset. Thanks for listening

I have heard somebody say that when they hit a plateau they eat at maintenance for a few days and then go back with their deficit. Something about it helps... I am not a trainer so I don't know why it works. The weight loss is incredibly slow for me, I get frustrated as well. But just keep moving forward and make sure your food tracking is accurate.

I am in the same boat. It's been over a month no change. Wish I could help you, but can't help myself.
I'm just going to keep plugging, logging, and excercising and hope it breaks.
    Take care, hang in there.

Have you recalculated your calorie needs since you have lost weight? You may need fewer calories than what you did before? With 30 pounds left to lose you may need to set your goal to 1 pound a week if you haven't already to see if that helps. Possibly changing up your exercise routine or adding in strength training may help you to bust the rut.

I have lost over 60 pounds and still have a bit to lose too and I seem to be stuck. But, I know that mine is due to a lack of not focusing on meeting my calorie goals and being over calories daily. I will eventually get tired of spinning my wheels and will clean up my diet.

    Good luck!
