Hello MFPers!

I am a total morning person and would love to get my workout done in the morning, however, due to my commute and work schedule there isn't a way for me to make time to work out in the morning. I find that by the end of the day I am very tired. If I end up finding the motivation to work out after work, I feel great! I'm looking for motivational tips and tricks that some of you use to get yourself to work out after a long hard day. Any thoughts?

Take your workout clothes to work with you and head straight to the gym! Don't stop at home or anything. I also drink my pre workout right before I leave everyday, no sense in wasting a good pwo

I second carrielou37. I bring my workout clothes to work and change at work. I don't have an excuse not to then.

Thanks to both of you. I do have to stop at home right after work to let my dogs out, but I think being in my gym clothes would make it a lot easier. Much appreciated!

    I do this too.

I'm in the same boat, OP. I loved going to the gym at 4am before work, til my schedule changed and now I have to go after work with all the normal people.

Looking at myself in the mirror naked is generally all the motivation I need to get to the gym.

I had a similar problem OP. I have a 2 hour commute (each way) that starts before 6am and gets me home after 7pm leaving me little time to fit anything in at all!

I actually just changed up my commute slightly so that I walk 45 minutes through the city each way every day. I also cram in a quick run or weights session during lunch where possible as I have a handy free outdoor gym near my work

I also have to work out after work, and it is hard. My gym is the in the town where I work which is 18 miles from where I live. I go right after work.
