    You know when you wear socks that are too tight and when you take them off, you have the groove in your leg? Well... yeah. If done harcore, they also have the ability to rearrange your innards, deform your lower ribs and cause gastrointestinal problems.

    If you're asking if they work well at permanently disfiguring your body, then yes they work.

    No, they do not work for weight loss or to make your waist look smaller.

    I think I'd rather practice foot binding. Sure, you have to break most of the bones in your feet and your toes end up wrapped underneath you, but at least it doesn't involve literally shoving your internal organs into places they're not supposed to go.

    And all for an artificial hourglass.
