do you lose weight with moderate exercise, a calorie deficit of 1000 calories or fewer, eat healthy foods, and eschew the pills, shakes, wraps and other gimmicks? Do you roll your eyes at low carb, gluten free, paleo, bulletproof, organic and "clean eating" fads?

ADD ME! I'm working on a 90 pound weight loss without gimmicks or a diet full of quest bars. I'm all about those delicious GMOs! I do not lift heavy and I do not run. I will never try to sell you anything. Let's be science-based weight loss pals.

    Increase the calories to 1200-1400 and make sure that you are getting enough protein and oils (carbs are less important). :)

    I took it to mean she kept her deficit under 1000, not her intake

    Yep. You misunderstood. My personal daily deficit is 650. Works really well for me. My macros are also set at a comfy 50/30/20 and carbs are the real mvp. ;)

    I am older (58), and used to lose fairly easy, but as my body has gone thru a lot of stress and aging is not for the weak of heart. I have added suppliments to my diet snd increased 2 bottles a plain water daily. Dispute the increased visits to thd bathroom, my weight loss increased substantially.
