I've seen some call it weight training others call it weight lifting... is there a difference? Forgive my stupidity on the topic but I'm fairly new to this and I'm assuming it is all strength training just want to make sure when I'm researching the topic I'm keeping it consistent because we all know about the information overload that occurs when surfing the WWW.

They're the same, by my understanding. Training implies the use of weights and lifting weights is using them so I'd say they're the same. But there are different types of weight training/lifting. It depends on whether you're going primarely for bulck or tone.0
