recommed a GPS/HRM for me.

Hey guys! I'm in need of a good GPS/HRM. Can anyone recommend one that counts calories, track how many miles I've ran and that I won't have to turn over my first born to pay for?? TIA! :flowerforyou:

    I have the Garmin Forerunner 305 GPS/HRM and I absolutely love it!!! Got it for about $125 on Amazon.

    I would like some advice, too! I've tried every way around getting one because they are so expensive. The ones on the cardio machines are unreliable and the one I downloaded on my Android doesn't work either. And it's a pain to keep stopping and taking my pulse to get an average. So, please any advice....

    Thanks!!! That's the one I've been looking at the most. Is it pretty accurate with your miles and calorie burn? Is it simple to use? I'm not as wicked smart as I seem sometimes :blushing:

    Garmin 305 is very accurate on the mileage but calculates calories based on weight, speed, and distance. It can monitor heartrate but does not use it to calculate calories. More expensive garmins use the heartrate for calorie calculation.

    i have the garmin forerunner 405cx and LOVE IT! I paid quite a bit for it but since there is an updated version its probably cheaper now. runkeeper cant hold a candle to it!

    well, unfortunately for me, I don't have a droid :sad: and my upgrade isn't for another year so........ LOL!
