Was wondering if any cysters used FertilAid and wanted to share their experience? I'm considering getting it, cuz I'm all out of options at this point and totally frustrated with my dr.

Out of options means what? You've already done clomid, etc?

Yes I've done 3 rounds of CLomid all fails. I've taken Prometrim and no AF. My doctor just says that he doesn't know what to do, and my insurance won't pay for me to see a specialist until my OB clears me, and he won't clear me until AF shows, and I can get a HSG.

Your doc can't get your period to start? Did he try provera?

Can you change docs? I wouldn't be comfortable with someone who wasn't willing to exhaust all options or refer me to someone who could. Your doc is supposed to be part of your fertility team :(

I was tempted to use fertileAid but didn't. if i was TTC for that long, i'd probably try anything but sorry i have no personal experience myself. Not sure if this helps but my story: Tried for 2 years with PCOS. first year tried CLomid; preg first round but had miscarriage. no luck with clomid after that. Did injections for several several months. So stressed out we gave up and almost did IVF. I cancelled our appt for IVF a couple of days before the appt date because i kept thinking if i drop $1500 on a one time try with no garauntees, i'd regret it. lucky, we didn't go through with it, i found out i ovulated on my own (by charting BBT) in the next two cycles! i missed the first one but we got preg the 2nd cycle (ovualting on day 30!) my son is now 1. So, I guess i just want to say i understand the frustration but don't give up becasue miracles happen when you least expect it!!! I'm trying for #2 and I suspect I might have PCOS again. It's cycle day 26 and no "O"

    Good Luck!

I had to pay out of pocket about $2,000/month while doing all the fertility treatments (that's with my ins covering 50%)

Just to be clear, I've never heard of fertilaid. It just seems to me like your doctor is not helping you as much as he should. I hope I'm not being unhelpful :)

I could change doctors but then I would have to travel tos ee my doctor, and I would have to change all cooresponding doctors and possibly have to start over, I have HMO so it sucks. I am seeing another dr in that office for a second opinion.

i've tried Provera that did not induce AF. I tried Prometrium in Dec 2010 and it worked, then again in March 2011 and it did not work. He tried blaming it on my thyroid BUT at the time of the Dec 2010 my thyroid was off, and by March of 2011 it was normal so my endocronolgist said it was not because of my thyroid. Then he decided I was just too fat to have a period.

Ew. It sounds like his bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired.

Maybe a different doctor in the same practice will be more helpful.

Obviously if you're here you're trying to lose weight, hopefully it will help you! I wish I had more info to give you.
