What a common problem these days for so many people. Have you ever heard of those meal delivery services like Blue Plate (I believe) etc.? They let you select meals you like and they have vegetarian options and allergy-free meals if you need. They deliver everything to you how often you choose (once a week or more/less etc) with step by step instructions for cooking including pictures and there's even a number to call for questions during cooking. They include the meat, produce and all spices needed for the meal. Sounds like an affordable idea for people hoping to break the ice for home cooked meals starting out. Good luck.

Learn three recipes for dinner and start building on that. Here is one for baked tilapia. Add broccoli.

I get ads all the time from some company that will mail me food and directions for how to make it. They charge an arm and a leg, but if you have the money and don't have cookbooks, it might be an idea to look into.

If you don't want to cook, you kind of have to eat out or hire someone to make you food,

You're going to have to pick your poison. :)

My parents use a (Dutch) service like blue apron. Can't ofc say anything about blue apron, but the meals my parents get are really tasty and quite easy to make.

I moved out a little while ago, and my grocery store brings out a free megazine with recipe cards every month. We cook those all the time. It makes it really easy for us to add variety to our foods.
I like it better than searching for recipes because the cards come with recipes and foods I would never think off.
