Hey I'm Sherrina. I just want to share my journey. I am currently 314 lbs. Why and how did I get here. I had to ask myself why am I just eating? Well I had deal with my emotional issues and now I'm on a road to breaking the bondage of weight and food dependency. Right now o have a goal of 30lbs lost by August. That will put me at 284.

Don't give yourself a time frame! You can lose the weight, but 30 pounds in a little over a month will not be doable unless you lose a ton of water weight your first week. 30 pounds of fat is roughly 105,000 calories. If you have MFP set up to lose 2 pounds a week (the maximum safe amount), you will have a deficit of 34,000 calories by August 1.

You will lose the 30 pounds and then some. But you don't need to stress yourself out (and possibly contribute to more emotional eating) by giving your body deadlines.

It's better than you make physical goals, such as changing one eatting pattern per week. 15minutes of exercise each day for a week. Then 30 minutes of exercises each day ... and so on so that you are building up your endurance and learning how to properly fuel your body. This is a life long commitment. You didn't gain all that weight in 30 days you aren't going to loose it that fast either.

Thirty pounds in a couple months is an ambitious goal. You've st the bar very high for yourself there. Nothing wrong with trying to accomplish big things! Weight does come off faster at first, at least for some of us.

But don't be too discouraged if it doesn't come off as fast as you think it will now. You're looking at years of weight loss, so don't fret about the time it takes and focus more on the process.

    Good luck!
