I was just curious if it's wrong to drink a can of soda with my diet?
I'm currently bulking.

    Feed your body the proper fuel. No soda. That stuff is terrible for you. If it can eat through rust...what do you think it can do to your body over time? Not to mention the outrageous amount of sugars in it. It took me a long time to get over that addiction and I feel so much better for it.

    Some people I know dieting drink a lot of Diet pop and they lose just fine, But for me...It stalls me :(

    Some people I know dieting drink a lot of Diet pop and they lose just fine, But for me...It stalls me :(

    In some people the artificial sweeteners increase appetite. You might accidentally be eating more calories.

    The acids that exist in your stomach are so much more corrosive than any soda can possibly be. Drink it if you like it. It neither helps nor harms your health (unless you are in the tiny minority that is allergic to aspartame and you drink diet).

    There are no benefits of drinking soda.
    Instead of soda, why not Protein + sparkling water?

    so what if OP has two cans of soda a day and hits his protein/fat/macro?? He still needs to get calories in …and he never mentioned that his soda consumption was crowding out this protein consumption ..

    In a bulk, he would want to get more carbs anyway.

    Because protein + sparkling water doesn't taste as good as Dr Pepper.

    It tastes good and makes me happy. That's two benefits right there.

    soda is fine so long as it fits into your calorie allotment.

    but, is it healthy? probably, a can here and there isn't going to hurt. I do try to go for the real sugar sodas or diet.

    Nothing wrong with soda. It will help you reach your calorie goal.

    When I feel like treating my water, I often supplement it with Biosteel. It contains a wide range of amino acids, which might help you with your bulking. It's low-cal, though.

    Do you know how powerful the acid in your stomach is? hint...way more powerful than a soda. and a 12 oz can or bottle of soda has like 30 grams of sugar...an apple has like 20...not exactly outrageous. would I recommend sucking down multiple 40 ounce Big Gulps every day? No...but having a soda every once in awhile isn't a big deal. Get real.
