Hi I'm an absolute newbie, I've never lost weight before in my life so it really is all new. I have a lot of weight to lose. My goal is to be around 130, and I'm not completely sure of my current weight but it's at least 60 lbs higher. I had a rude awakening when I learned I was actually obese. I thought because I wasn't over 200lbs I should be fine, but I am very short and that really kept me from realizing that I was not healthy. I have a knee injury that's making this a little difficult because I can't jog/run and walking too much can irritate it. I think it is probably because of my weight.
I luckily have access to a gym, so my goal is to swim a few times a week and go on morning walks. I'm definitely open to suggestions, and any people who want to talk about this would be welcome. None of my family or friends are interested in fitness, so I am very much on my own in this.
