I joined this because I am afraid to succumb to the infamous "freshman 15" and gain weight during my first time away from home. I'm using this as a reminder to stay within a calorie range and watch what I eat- loosing weight is a goal but not the purpose that I use this.

I am 18 from CT moving to South Carolina in August. I love Netflix and eating, which is not exactly in the recipe for healthy living. I do love being at the beach, listening to music, and being with the people I love.

Good luck in your college career. You are entering a very exciting part of life. Be open to meeting new people and exploring all sorts of new ideas. Study!

Wow you are about to have such amazing experiences. I graduated in May with a grand total of 60lbs gained over the course of 4 years.

The best advice I can give you is to care about yourself first. Your schoolwork is NOT more important than your health, no matter what your major. The buffet food is NOT as good as you think it is, in taste or nutrition (especially if you have Chartwells. I worked for them for 3 years and it's insane what they put in their so-called healthy dishes). If you go Greek, make it one worth your time and money, not just a status symbol. Take advantage of the gym on campus, but don't push yourself harder than feels right for your individual needs.

Most of all, have fun, meet new people, and be open to whatever life throws at you!
