what is the worst part about losing weight?

for me, it's definitely this.

The other night, my hubby and I drove 1.5 hours away to go to an all u can eat sushi buffet & a movie. All was well and good until the ride home. Apparently I've lost weight in my *kitten*, and a little too much. I seriously felt like my *kitten* bones were sitting on concrete. The pain was so unbearable halfway through the ride home, i nearly opted to walk the rest of the way which would have taken a good 8-10 hours LOL

By the time i got home. I was in tears the pain was so excrutiating.

I wish my stomach would learn from my *kitten* and lose. LOL

I feel for you. But that's how it works. Tummy and face are the last places to lose fat. For long drives, you can keep a cushion on your seat. That might help. I think.

The worst thing for me is shrinking/deflating boobs. I hate it.

Me too! While I like that I have lost weight, I don't like that I've lost it in my boobs. They were so large and full before....maybe I can coax some of the weight from my gut to migrate up there...

For me its that my breasts are shrinking! 2 cup sizes! :grumble: Also I have went down a shoe size. It is crazy, but I will take it! :)

I was told that the last place the weight was put on that will be the first to go. The weight that has been in place the longest, will take the longest. Do not know if this is true for everyone, but from my experience it is!

Do some butt workouts to build muscle in your booty; maybe that will help!!

Why can't the belly/muffin top go first

Being patient in the process...that's the toughest part but it's definitely making me a stronger person so that's okay. This gal could use more patience :)

There are a couple things that get to me

    A) my *kitten* HURTS! I can't enjoy a bath anymore because it seriously hurts
    B) Poeple assume I think I am holier than thou
    C) PLATEAU"S (either way you flip it, they SUCK)

I second this. I don't eat muffins, so why is there one sitting on my midsection?

The first place I lose weight is my face. My husband has already commented on it. I have no problem with that. I think the hardest part is making healthy choices when eating out. It's so easy to order what I use to at my fav places to eat. Now, I look up the calories before I order. It takes discipline but I feel so much better by making the right choices.

The worst part for me is I like to work out in the afternoon, like when I get home from work but before dinner... which means that if I'm going anywhere for dinner or after dinner I have to shower.. and shower means putting on make-up, blow drying my hair and straightening my hair for the second time that day... Why can't I work out and not get sweaty and gross?! Is that too much to ask :-)

My spine sticking out....I can't sit on any chair with a hard plastic back, because my vertebrae dig in, and it's SO uncomfortable!

The worst part for me is wigging out every time I'm invited to anything social to eat, drink, & be merry. If I can align it with a free day, that's great, but otherwise, it actually causes me stress.

Yep... my rear was KILLING ME today sitting on those plastic chairs at the pool. I swear I'm getting a bed sore back there... LOL

@taso... yes yes YES!!! This is me too. Memorial day next week we are getting together with family for swimming, BBQ and the usual gluttony that goes along with pot-luck events like this one... ughhhhh... already dreading it. I'm going to be stashing healthy stuff in an ice chest to nibble on discretely I guess...

I hate being treated like a cheap *kitten* in restaurants because I want to drink water with lemon.

Yep, I'm a bit the same that way. Still get out and about but just have to limit yourself and try to make good choices.
  • The time away from my wife. Literally. Hate to go mushy here, but my wife says she doesn't want to hug me or be held because when I do my stomach pushes into her...from the front she can't breath easy and from the back, her back has to arch. Wish I had thought of that when the weight was coming on.

    1. Boob loss
    2. The anxiety associated with nights out/meals cooked by others

    1. Lots of stress from trying to balance work, working out, and cooking all my meals all the time.
    2. These last 10 pounds and their uncanny ability to stay around no matter what.
    3. I'm always cold.
    4. People assuming I'm anorexic simply because I've lost weight.
    5. I never knew just how uncomfortable all of the seats on the rides at Disneyland are until I rode them without all my extra fat padding.

That happens to me if I sit too long like 7 hrs or more for all flight and I have a big butt still. i think we just arent meant to sit on our *kitten* that long. LOL.

I have lost my butt cushion as well. I am really happy with where I am heading with the healthier me but have other areas that I would like to have lost first as well as alot of you.
The other part of this process that I find a little annoying is the questions. "How much have you lost this week, how many inches etc." Please don't get me wrong I love my friends and am proud to answer them but if I have had an "off" week, I end up getting the "Oh well better next week" look, the one that you use when a pet has died, and also the "Should you really be eating that?"

The rationalizing my decisions I guess is what I don't like. I am eating healthy 85% of the time...I am healthier but I am not a saint just yet...lol

Haha I love this reply! Mine has to be my tummy too - everywhere else is starting to look really good and I actually looked TOO skinny in some dresses when I went wedding dress shopping last week! My gut however, still looks like im those 20lbs overweight which REALLY bugs me! x
