I want so bad to lose weight, I've let myself go over the last year and need to get back to good health. I'm at 1230 calories a day and I was doin good for the first few days. The rapid change in food consumtion for me is proving to be very hard.. I recently gave in to a favorite snack of mine only to find out it was around 1000 calories. I felt disgusted with myself.. I have a gym membership and go 6 days a week, I know I will see results but I have to fight the urge to purge on food. Any advice to assist me in my efforts is much appreciated, thank you

its okay to give in once in awhile otherwise you'll go crazy and really binge. now you know how much your favorite snack is, can you find a way to make it healthier? otherwise eat a smaller portion of it.. if we have to give up all the food we love then what's the point? enjoy the little extras, and treat yourself once in awhile. just be aware of how much. what's your favorite snack?0

Keep a thought close to the top of your brain, "Is the momentary pleasure worth the regret?" Sometimes you'll say YEAH, but if you really stop and ask yourself the question you will find your willpower increasing. Don't hate yourself for a slip because that can start a cycle of punishing yourself by overeating. Tony Horton says, "Do your best and forget the rest." I sometimes think, "Do your best and forgive the rest." You're not a bad person because you had a snack that you wish you hadn't had. Forgive yourself.0

I like what you said "Is the momentary pleasure worth the regret?" Those are words to live by and not just when it comes to food choices!0 -
my favorite snack is those mini pretzels with cheese inside, so delicious, but so bad for you lol though after today, I have a feeling I won't be eating them for a while, since there is virtually no way to make them healthy, I'd rather just avoid them all together..0
