Hi! My name is Carolina and I am 24 years old (25 on July 7th). I just signed up today because I was driving home from school and kept feeling my belly. I thought to myself (omg this is so disgusting) and now I am ready to get off my butt and do something about it. I really do enjoy to work out ( once I get the initial part out of the way), but in the beginning it's so hard for me to get off the couch and head to the gym. About 2 years ago, I was able to lose 15 pounds in one month and I felt and looked amazing! If i didn't workout one day, I felt like something was missing. Working out was my natural high! How do you guys get past this initial bump? Sometimes I take a photo of a beautiful model to the gym and put it on top of the machine I am working out on. (motivation!)

I hope to lose this weight and keep it off FOREVER. I want to stop wearing loose black tops when I go out and wear colorful, feminine dresses and feel beautiful! I want to live a long and healthy life and I want to wear a bikini one day!!!!

Everyday you have to tell yourself to work out for just 15 minutes...if you aren't feeling it by then, go home. 15 minutes isn't that long and, generally, once you've completed that 15 minutes, you'll feel so good you'll continue with the rest of your workout. The first two weeks are definitely the hardest, but once you start to see results you'll want to keep it up.

AWWWW thank you so much! I see you have already lost some weight yourself! That's AWESOME! I can't wait to step on the scale and get down to the 170's. I'm excited to see what I am capable of losing. :)

Sfish13, I completely agree! After 2 weeks, excercising becomes a habit instead of a chore. I will definitely take your advice!

Welcome to MFP!! You're certainly going to find a lot of support for your healthy lifestyle. I completely agree with you that exercise is a wonderful natural high. When I started hot yoga, that's how I felt. If I didn't go a day, I felt different, less energy. Now I walk with my soon-to-be husband and we have a fantastic time. Feel free to add me as a friend for another 20-somethings support :)
