Before I work out in the morning (running or working out at home), I will have 1/4 to 1/2 a cup of coffee. If I were running for longer than I am right now (30 min), I might have a small piece of fruit.0

I usually eat protein !

Put on some loud bad music; dance around and sing along to it.
If I'm feeling under-carbed, I'll eat a few Skittles or jelly beans.0 -
Thanks! Is there a specific brand of coffee? Instant preferably?0

Skittles and jellies! Check!0

depends on when my workout is and what my workout is.0

I like pre-workout & creatine on lift days.
Protine on run days.0 -
A 5 minute walk around the block to get some sunlight is the best possible way for me to get energized. A hot shower is second best.0

I like some chocolate, or some other sugary snack, maybe an energy drink for some caffeine, and a bit of music to get me in the mood, then I sort of stare at the weights for a bit so that they know, and I know that I'm about to rock their world and there's nothing they can do to stop me.

Anything with a little caffeine in it should work. No particular brand necessary for results.

you should eat a complex carb half and hour to one hour before workout (porridge is good, or a slice of seeded wholemeal toast with coconut butter), I take CLA and L-glutamine before a workout and again after with Whey Protein shake and another Amino Acid tab.0

A steak about 1 hour beforehand0

I take a preworkout supp because I usually lift after work and that is time in the afternoon that my body would really prefer a nap. I take Cellucor C40

What works for me is to just get moving and start working out, regardless of how i feel. After a few minutes, i'm usually in the groove. If i'm still lagging.. Skittles.0

coffee then I slap myself in the face really hard.
....
or I just go to the gym energized. You're energy will pick up when you get there. People assume you must be motivated to have a successful workout.
This is incorrect.
In order to have a successful workout- you must work out.
That's it.0 -

Seconded. I hardly ever feel energized when I start. I'm energized about halfway through. Coffee DOES help, though.

Some of my best workouts have been on days when I had to drag my *kitten* to the gym.0 -

I hear that quiet a bit.
ultimately even if it's not a great workout- you still gotta do it. But yes- some of the best are when you walk in there dragging a@@.0 -
