Throwing up?

I went out last night with my husband and ended up in bodeans (rib shack), I had one cocktail, a shared meat platter of ribs, chicken, beef and pork, fries, coleslaw and an apple cobbler for desert.
I was good all day, until the evening. I didn't eat too much, a little here and there but was quite full (as this is quite different from my ususal salad and protein shake dinner).
I logged this the best I could, so that I could lower calories over the next few days to adjust for the excess. However this morning, I ended up throwing up a lot of food from last night (sorry) so does that mean that some of the calories were not absorbed?
Should I still limit my calories over the nex few days to go under 1200 so that it balances off or the fact that i threw up means that I should continue eating healthily at my required calorie limit?

Absolutely yes you should limit them, as you dont know and shouldnt even want to consider any 'benefits' calorie wise, from throwing up. Hope you feel better soon0

Keep your cals to about 1200 as that's a healthy amount and exercise, but maybe not eat the exercise cals back?0 -
It's not really that important that you eat all the calories over a time period. Your body will absorb differences. If I were you, I'd go on as you had planned and forget about the whole throwing up part. You'll just probably lose very slightly more this week.0

Thank you, I feel really rough this morning like I've got a food hangover - its weird how food can make you feel just as bad as alcohol.0

Theoretically, you shouldn't have gotten all of the calories you ate, but since it was in your stomach all night, you definitely got all the carbs and alcohols, and most of the proteins and fats. But there's no way to tell how much. You'll probably feel better if you go easy on yourself today, eat light and easily digestible food, don't focus so much on calories, pay attention to what makes your stomach feel better instead.
(On a practical note, most bulimics are normal weight or slightly over weight, so the puking doesn't really seem to impact their weight, which I guess, by extension means that somehow their bodies are getting calories and nutrition before the food gets purged. As far as I'm aware, the only time puking seems to put you in a real calorie deficit is when you have food poisoning.)0 -
Oh dear, not a good start to the day. I would forget about both the overindulging and the throwing up and go back to your normal calorie allowance as soon as your body is ready for it.0

I would write yesterday off completely and eat what you normally eat today. I just do day by day and dont change anyother day to compensate. x0 -
perhaps watch the nasty greasy meat intake.0
