Hi.
This may be a silly question but does anyone know if the peel is included in the calorie count provided by myfitnesspal?
For example right now I'm munching on 400g of watermelon but that's including the rind. So when I look up the calories, is that 400g of pure watermelon aka only the edible part or have they included the rind in their weight? Hope that makes sense.
Same with oranges, bananas and other fruits with uhm a "heavy" peel.
Does anyone know?

The USDA only analyzes the edible parts--so no eggshells or apple seeds or banana peels. But I know that potatoes, for example, have entries for both skinned and not, so look for the right entries on those.0

I agree that bag fries are free calories. That's all I have to contribute to this conversation.0
